Visiting Students
Students who want to take undergraduate coursework at Kansas State University but don’t want to pursue a degree may apply and enroll in up to 15 total credit hours without meeting admission requirements.
Application Process
Visiting students are enrolled in courses after all degree-seeking students have enrolled.
- For a course starting in June or August, earliest enrollment for visiting students is typically in May.
- For a course starting in January, earliest enrollment for visiting students is typically in November.
Use the course search to select your desired class(es).
Additional Information
- Generally, financial aid and scholarships are not available for visiting students.
- Transcripts and test scores are not required to be admitted as a visiting student unless you want to take a course that has a prerequisite. Test scores and official academic transcripts should be sent to the Office of Recruitment and Admissions (instructions).
- Visiting students who pursue coursework beyond the 15-hour limit will be required to submit academic credentials to be admitted to a degree program.
Auditing a Course
If you want to audit an undergraduate course, apply as a visiting student and then complete the K-State Course Audit Request Form.
