Engage in Events and Dialogues
Across K-State campuses, colleges and departments, there are numerous opportunities to engage with your fellow students, faculty and staff around a variety of topics, as well as connect with opportunities for civic engagement to make your mark on the world. The university collectively sponsors and offers educational events and opportunities for dialogue to strengthen ongoing discourse on a variety of relevant topics.
The K-State Salina Civic Lecture Series works to develop a more tolerant and informed community committed to openly discussing topics of civic importance. By engaging our campuses and the broader community in civic dialogue, we will expand our collective leadership skills for civic participation. Events will be available in-person in Salina, as well as via Zoom.
Student clubs and organizations often invite speakers from differing backgrounds and experiences. While we may not always individually agree with the viewpoints of speakers, we acknowledge that free expression extends to all who engage on our campuses, and we recognize the opportunity for civil discourse and constructive dialogue that emerges from these interactions.
