Reminder: Grand prize drawing this week for student vaccination incentive program

Submitted by Lafene Health Center

The Kansas State University student vaccination incentive campaign ends this week with the grand prize drawing on Friday, Oct. 15, for students who have received the COVID-19 vaccination. One student winner will get to choose one grand prize of $1,000 cash, a Sony PlayStation 5 or a MacBook Air.

Every student who has been vaccinated at Lafene Health Center or submitted proof of vaccination will be entered for the grand prize, even if they have won a previous prize. Students who were vaccinated elsewhere can voluntarily submit a copy of their COVID-19 vaccination cards or other written documentation through the myLAFENE+ patient portal.

Vaccination is the best protection against COVID-19. K-State continues to strongly encourage all students, faculty and staff who can receive a COVID-19 vaccine to do so.

The student vaccination campaign began Friday, Aug. 13. Each week the university has been drawing the names of six students who have been vaccinated and are registered at Lafene Health Center. A list of prizes by level is available on the K-State COVID-19 website

COVID-19 vaccines are available by appointment at Lafene Health Center. To schedule an appointment, log in to your myLAFENE+ patient portal or call 785-532-6544.

No purchase necessary. COVID-19 vaccines are available through Lafene Health Center and other providers at no cost. Students should review the potential side effects and other safety risks associated with receiving a COVID-19 vaccine published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and/or consult with their medical provider when deciding whether to be vaccinated.
