K-State employees invited to share input on Manhattan's downtown plan

Submitted by Cheryl Grice

Kansas State University is collaborating with the city of Manhattan to seek input from university employees about long-range plans for the downtown Manhattan district. As a university employee, you have the opportunity to collectively impact decisions surrounding downtown Manhattan's growth, development, amenities, and diversification of services and community events.

The Beyond Tomorrow Downtown Plan is looking forward to the next 20 years of the downtown Manhattan district. It will replace the Downtown Tomorrow Plan, which was adopted in 2000 and has been successfully completed for several years. The new plan is expected to be adopted by the end of 2023 or early 2024.

There are two opportunities to provide your opinion.

  1. A brief community survey link is available until June 28.
  2. After taking the survey, if you would like to participate in a small focus group led by city of Manhattan community development staff, please email Cheryl Grice at cdgrice@k-state.edu

Thank you for taking the time to participate and contribute. Your engagement reinforces the university's commitment to cultivating an attractive quality of life and community for K-State students and the workforce.
