Family, consumer science students present sessions in Wichita

By jane P. marshall

Seven family and consumer sciences education students presented two breakout sessions this month at the United Associations Conference in Wichita.

Sally Yahnke, associate professor in the College of Education, worked with the College of Human Ecology students. She was re-elected president of the Kansas Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.

Students are Megan Douglas, Kelsey Fisher, Alexis Lundy, Elizabeth Otto, Rachel Pageler, Atalie Tompkins and Kaylee Wicke.

They presented "Integration of Technology into the Family and Consumer Sciences Classroom." They shared research related to specific technology applications and provided information on implementation ideas for Family and Consumer Sciences teachers from Kansas.

Three professional family and consumer sciences professional organizations meet annually at this combined conference.
