About Us
K-State's Sigma Tau Delta chapter, Alpha Theta Eta, was founded in August of 1998 and is sponsored by the English Department. Sigma Tau Delta offers many opportunities for personal and professional development; our chapter aims to link local and national projects for mutual benefit.
The purposes of Sigma Tau Delta are:
- To give distinction for high academic achievement in English studies to undergraduate and graduate students, and professionals.
- To promote interest in literature and the English language on our campus and the surrounding community
- To foster and encourage the English studies discipline in all its aspects, including creative and critical writing.

Membership
To become a member you must:
- have achieved at least sophomore standing
- have completed nine hours of English courses
- have a 3.4 GPA overall
- have at least a 3.0 GPA in English courses
- pay a one time fee of $37 for your life-time membership in Sigma Tau Delta.

Willie, Prince of Denmark T-Shirts
Support scholarships and other activities by purchasing the Department of English's Willie, Prince of Denmark T-Shirt for $15.00.
Tees come in S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, and 4XL, and are available in K-State Purple or Heather Gray. We also have youth sizes.
For $20.00, we've got a lovely lavender in a more fashionable shape for women. Allow for shrinkage with this shirt.
We accept cash, or checks made out to Sigma Tau Delta, at the English Department Main Office (ECS 108).

Purchase and Ship T-shirts
To save shipping costs, you may bring the receipt to ECS 108 (during regular business hours) to pick up your shirt. Your card will be charged $16.00 (for crews in purple and gray) or $21.00 (for women's lavender) to cover PayPal charges.
