The Kansas State University Registrar’s Office is now offering on-line transcript ordering with an option for electronic PDF delivery. Through a partnership with AVOW Systems, Inc., the premier electronic transcript vendor, current students and alumni can now order and pay for transcripts on-line and for a nominal fee, the transcript can be delivered electronically as well. The electronic PDF transcript is an official transcript that is backed by the Geo-Trust SSL authentic certification. This means that the recipient can trust that the document has not been altered in any way during delivery. A blue ribbon is present at the top of the certified transcript to indicate that security has not been breached and certifies the identity of the author and the integrity of the document contents. The placement of this blue ribbon is done each time the document is opened as evidence that a certification has occurred for that specific opening instance.
Security of a certified transcript is actually greater than that of a paper transcript as the PDF transcript can be sent directly to the recipient without intervening parties. Additional benefits of this new delivery service include:

Additionally, the on-line ordering system will send an email confirmation to the requester of when the order is received, processed, and delivered. For an added fee, the tracking feature can be enabled to confirm when the transcript was opened, by whom, and whether it was printed.
