The ISEC will be responsible for assuring the coordination, interaction, evaluation, and overall progress of the research and engagement activities, for identifying and overseeing the pursuit of Associate Awards and Ad Hoc grants, and for making recommendations to USAID regarding the direction or termination of research and engagement projects. The ISEC will also be responsible for supporting the project director in making sure that the crosscutting issues of gender, nutrition, economics, and environment are incorporated and implemented in all projects.
