Development of the lipid profiling technology in place at the opening of the Kansas Lipidomics Research Center took place at the University of Kansas Mass Spectrometry Laboratory. Continued development of lipid profiling technology for the Kansas Lipidomics Research Center is taking place both at the Kansas State University at the KLRC Analytical Laboratory and at the University of Kansas Mass Spectrometry Laboratory.
At the Kansas Lipidomics Research Center Analytical Lab, researchers are constantly developing new analytical strategies so that we can expand the repertoire of lipid species that are analyzed routinely. We are focused primarily on polar lipid species.
