Flint Hills Pride
The largest LGBT Pride organization in the Flint Hills. The organization hosts an annual Pride Celebration each June at Milford Lake. For more information please check out the website.
Kansas Statewide Transgender Education Project (K-STEP)
The purpose of K-Step is to lift the veil of mystery and ignorance which commonly surrounds the phenomenon of transgender people by providing education to universities, community colleges, drug/alcohol treatment centers, YWCAs, Kansas Equality Coalition chapters, PFLAG chapters, human relations commissions, SRS offices, faith organizations, governmental entities, employers, independent living centers, and other interested organizations throughout Kansas; and to train interested persons as transgender educators, advocates, and leaders.
The Face of Trans
The Face of Trans is an organization that seeks to bring visibility to the transgender community and individuals by encouaging and fostering interaction between the trans* and cis* gender communities. TFT highlights the person and not only their gender status or identity and strives for a more informed and accepting community in which trans* individuals are able to live and contribute positively with dignity, respect, and equity.
The Trevor Hotline
The Trevor Project operates the only accredited, nationwide, around-the-clock crisis and suicide prevention helpline for LGBTQ youth. If you or a friend is feeling lost or alone, call The Trevor Helpline. There is hope, there is help.
Service Members Legal Defense Network
Service members Legal Defense Network is a non-partisan, non-profit, legal services, watchdog and policy organization dedicated to ending discrimination against and harassment of military personnel affected by "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT). They provide free, confidential legal services to all those impacted by DADT and related discrimination.
Lambda Legal is a national organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV through impact litigation, education and public policy work.
