SEA and K-State celebrates EARTH DAY, April 22

Earth Day 2009

K-State's Bosco Plaza was decorated with dozens of booths from eco-friendly clubs and organizations. We had the Green Pledge, bike clinic, t-shirt swap, recycling, great music, and much more. Live every day as if it were Earth Day!

Welcome to the Students for Environmental Action website!

Students for Environmental Action is a student run organization at Kansas State University working to save and protect the environment. Find out more about us here!

Look What's We've Done Lately

Congratulations to SEA for winning best student organization in the 2008 Homecoming parade! It was a lot of fun, thanks to everyone who helped build the floats / came out to the parade. (Photos are posted on Facebook – to see them go to the Students for Environmental Action group.)

Football Gameday Recycling: "The SOONER you Recycle, the Better" was Saturday, 10/25. About the same amount was recycled as last time, which is good because there were less people. 23 people recycled the whole stadium in about an hour! Way to go!

SEA ran the first recycling program "Recycalusa" at the Wakarusa Music Festival in June of 2005! Click here to check out what we did or here to read an article about the recycling efforts.

June 4-7, 2009 - Recyclusa is following Wakarusa to Arkansas. We need volunteers. Contact Rylan or Becky for details.

Additional info. will be posted on the Wakarusa site here!

Wakarusa is just one example of the many exciting and ground breaking things SEA is doing. To find out what else we're working on click here!

SEA sells used notebooks at R & R Clothing and Costumes in Manhattan. R & R is located just north of Pat's Blue Ribbon on 12th St. Check them out when in Manhattan! (Open Mon-Sat Noon-7pm)
