Agronomy

A major in agronomy focuses on the study of plants and soils and their interaction with the environment. Students can focus on business and industry, consulting and production, plant science and biotechnology, soil and environmental science or range management. Graduates find opportunities in many fields, including environmental consulting, crop consulting, soil and range conservation, plant breeding, crop biotechnology, seed sales representative, research science, financial institution loan officer, production agronomy, farm service agent, crop insurance adjuster, and range manager.
