spacerGames Home: Review List: Game complexity
Review categoryGames can vary from low to high complexity. Complex games have a larger rule set and the game mechanics are more detailed. Complexity is not the same thing as sophistication in game design. Chess and Go have sophisticated designs but are both low complexity. Monopoly would be medium complexity. High complex games are little more difficult to learn and are more appropriate for adolescents and adults. High complex games may take a little longer to set up.
spacerOur range of complexity is tuned to typical German and American games for families. Highly complex games, like many wargames, are more complex than the "high complexity" games on our list and are not included.
