Egyptian Fulbright Scholar seeks performer with disability to participate in choreographic piece

Submitted by the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance

Diana Gerges, an Egyptian Fulbright Scholar studying drama therapy and theatre scholarship under the supervision of Sally Bailey seeks a student with a disability excited to participate in her choreographic project for Dance Composition I with associate professor Kate Digby.

"Because I am working on the inclusion and encourage including performers with disabilities in the art and culture scene, I would like to explore this in my class project at K-State. This dancing piece maybe published on my Egyptian start-up website https://www.mulbtree.com/ and some of social media (Facebook, Instagram) and it will be a consent he/she will sign for using that documentation footage."

The initial performance of the project will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 2, as part of Dance Student Spotlight, and rehearsals will begin immediately. For more information, please contact Diana Gerges at dianagerges@k-state.edu
