Lindsey Cordill recognized as Professional Staff of the Week
Lindsey Cordill, senior academic advisor in the College of Business Administration, was recognized as Professional Staff of the Week at the Dec. 2 men's home basketball game.
Faculty Senate, the Office of the President, K-State Athletics and the Division of Communications and Marketing wish to recognize her contributions to K-State.
Cordill has served the College of Business Administration as an academic advisor since 2015. She was recognized as a senior advisor in 2019. When there are transitions among the advising team members, she is always available to pitch in and expand the number of students she advises. Subsequently, she carries a significantly higher student advising load. As one of the senior advisors, she is willing to train new team members as well as organize team-building events. Her advisees speak very highly of her work, including one student who said, "Lindsey has always gone above and beyond for me during my college career, and I couldn't be more grateful for her."
Cordill serves as the point advising person for several high-profile student groups, including student athletes, Menard Family Scholars and university honors students. In the college, she manages the summer advising internship program and co-led the peer advising program for several years. She recently transitioned to serving as support for peer advising. Externally, Cordill is the co-chair of the university's advisor forum, where she leads programs for all of K-State's professional advisors.
