Learn more about AI from the Libraries' '(AI)brarians'

Submitted by Cailin Riley

Don't miss one of these two opportunities to learn more about AI from K-State Libraries this week. Alice Anderson, Jason Coleman and Carol Sevin, dubbed the "(AI)brarians," will present on the topics of AI text generators and disinformation.

On Sept. 13 from 1-2 p.m., the (AI)brarians will host "AI and Text Generation" in the Friends Instruction Room, Room 359 of Hale Library, as well as via Zoom. This workshop will teach attendees about popular AI text generators and how to use them for both personal and professional projects. Space is limited, so please sign up online today.

On Sept. 17 from 7-9 p.m., the (AI)brarians will be at Auntie Mae's Parlor for a presentation on navigating disinformation and truth in the age of AI.

The presentation, hosted by the League of Women Voters, will cover how AI is being used by both good and bad actors. The (AI)brarians will also demonstrate how AI tools can be used to generate truthful social media posts and investigate the validity of social content.

Both of these events are free and open to the public.
