Miriam Wrobel, FTI Consulting’s Global Leader of Environmental, Social, and Governance concerns (ESG) and Sustainability

The College of Business Administration at Kansas State University announces its first 2023 Gates Capital Management Series speaker, Miriam Wrobel, FTI Consulting’s global leader of environmental, social and governance, or ESG, concerns and sustainability.

Students, faculty, staff and the community are invited to attend her talk at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20, in the Business Building, Western Star Ag Resources Lecture Hall, Room 1088.

Wrobel, a senior managing director based in San Francisco, joined FTI Consulting in 2021 and advises clients on ESG and energy transition strategy, transaction structuring and due diligence. She leads a diversified team of professionals across FTI Consulting’s global network who work on ESG and sustainability-related matters.

"We are very grateful to have Ms. Wrobel on campus to speak about ESG," said Hardy Johnson, finance department head. "ESG are the standards used in finance to evaluate the social responsibility of a company as it would relate to buying their stock, investing in their company, loaning them money, etc. Social responsibility is not only important in the world of finance but in all of business, making her presentation relevant to a broad audience."
