Undergraduate student mentors needed for College of Business Summer Institute

Submitted by Haley Ahlers

The College of Business Administration is accepting applications for undergraduate student mentors to support the College of Business Summer Institute hosted June 18-21 and July 9-12, 2023 on the Manhattan campus.

The summer mentors will work with small groups of high school students throughout each four-day institute to support all program activities. Mentor training will occur on the morning of the first day of each session. Mentors will receive a stipend of $750 for all four days of each session, a total of $1,500 if available for both sessions.

As a member of the College of Business Administration summer staff, mentors will have the opportunity to serve as role models and provide supervision during institute activities and overnight stays in the residence halls. Housing and dining will be provided. Read more or apply online. Applications are due April 16.

Each summer institute session will host 30 rising 10th- through 12th-grade high school students to experience life as a K-State College of Business Administration student.

The Center for Principled Business is housed in the College of Business Administration and engages in teaching and research activities that develop business leaders and enhance societal prosperity. The center offers cross-disciplinary research and academic and co-curricular programs for K-State students, high school students and working professionals.

Please contact the Center for Principled Business with any questions about the institute or serving as a mentor at ksucpb@k-state.edu or 785-532-1305.
