Celebrating Fulbright scholars

Fulbright scholars and faculty

The Graduate School hosted the 2022 Fulbright Scholar reception on Oct. 27 to welcome the seven new Fulbright students to campus and reconnect with the 11 current Fulbright scholars. Fulbright students from Lebanon, Ecuador, Pakistan, Togo, Indonesia, Armenia, Ukraine, Swaziland, Cambodia, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan and the Philippines are studying in 12 master's and six doctoral programs.

The students shared their experiences at K-State and engaged in lively conversations. The students also shared why they chose K-State: "It was my first choice because of the state-of-the-art facilities and research work in the field I am pursuing."

Another scholar spoke about their experience, "My best experience was interacting with the university’s community because it made me feel like part of a big family. At Kansas State University, people provide a lot of support to help international students adapt to this new environment and experience. This is an essential factor for becoming successful in any academic program. I consider K-State an excellent place for any international student."

The Fulbright Scholar Program enables graduate students, young professionals and artists from abroad to research and study in the United States for one year or longer at U.S. universities or other appropriate institutions. The Graduate School looks forward to welcoming more Fulbright students to K-State and supporting the Fulbright Scholar Program.
