Anna Marie Wytko, professor of saxophone, will present a Faculty Artist Recital at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, in All Faiths Chapel Auditorium on the K-State Manhattan campus.

The recital program will feature a diverse collection of traditional, modern and jazz-infused music by composers William Grant Still, Claude Debussy, Ryo Noda, William Albright and Brent Weaver. Joining Wytko will be collaborating musicians Amanda Arrington on piano and narrator Julie Yu-Oppenheim. The recital is free and open to the public.

Hailed by the Absolute Sound as an "artist possessing a prodigious technique plus extraordinary control of tone and dynamics," Wytko has performed as concerto soloist at numerous venues and festivals including, but not limited to, Carnegie Hall as part of the New York International Music Festival, Latin American World Saxophone Congress, Sax Fest Costa Rica International, American Bandmasters Association, and with the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra and Polish Air Force Wind Symphony, for example. She has released multiple albums and is the author of books and articles. Learn more about Wytko at k-state.edu/mtd/faculty-staff/music/wytko/
