Lafene Health Center provides update on bivalent COVID-19 booster

Submitted by Shawn Funk

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has ordered that all appointments for monovalent Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna boosters in people 12 years of age and older be canceled and rescheduled to receive the bivalent COVID-19 booster once it is available and fully approved.

Lafene Health Center has placed an order for the bivalent COVID-19 booster and is working on rescheduling any booster appointments that were scheduled from now through Sept. 16. There are a limited number of doses available and KDHE plans to fill orders as equitably as possible. Lafene Health Center continues to administer the Moderna COVID-19 primary vaccine series.

Contact Lafene Health Center at 785-532-6544 for questions about the COVID-19 vaccine or booster.
