Supporting our mental health and well-being

Submitted by Jay Stephens

Dear K-State faculty and staff,

As we continue our third academic year affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, these many months of challenges have certainly taken a toll on all of us. What you have accomplished under these circumstances has been truly remarkable. We thank you for your dedication to the Kansas State University community.

For many, it has been a tough time. It is all right to acknowledge that there are times when we don’t feel okay. Your K-State family is here to help you. If you or someone you know could benefit from the many resources we have available, we encourage you to look into some of the following options.

  • The YOU@KSU online platform is a comprehensive 24/7 well-being platform for students as well as faculty and staff. The platform is personalized to the specific needs of each person, but maintains privacy and confidentiality. Faculty, staff and students can log in to you.k-state.edu with their eID and password through the K-State single sign-on service.
  • The Employee Assistance Program is available for state of Kansas benefits-eligible employees and their dependents at no charge. The program provides information, short-term counseling, advice, and referrals from licensed professionals. Learn more.
  • We continue to follow our revised remote work policy. Talk with your supervisor or Human Capital Services liaison with questions about your specific circumstances.

Please take advantage of these resources if you need a helping hand. Let's continue to support each other as we prepare for brighter days ahead.

Sincerely,

Jay Stephens
Vice president for Human Capital Services
