Student groups: Volunteer with the Konza Student Table

Submitted by HandsOn Kansas State

Konza Student Table is on the lookout for student groups who may want to partner or adopt a meal packing or distribution time slot. While we do have individuals sign up weekly, we want student groups to know that we can work with them as well. Tasks include breakfast sack packing, meal box packing and meal distribution.

If your group is interested in volunteering or has any additional questions, please contact Kelly Whitehair at stirtz@k-state.edu. Or sign up directly on the volunteer page.

The Konza Student Table program offers a free, tasty, nutritious dinner meal and breakfast bag to K-State students. Chilled boxed meals are served by non-contact delivery through both a drive-up and walkup station every Wednesday beginning at 5:30 p.m. in campus parking lot D1, just north of St. Isidore’s Catholic Church.

Konza Student Table isn't a solution for hunger, but rather a means of turning adversity into opportunity to serve our K-State students by offering a meal, friendly conversation and encouragement for their next day.

The pandemic has created many challenges, frustrations and hardships. Konza Student Table, a collaboration of St. Isidore’s Catholic Student Center, the Riley County and City of Manhattan Food and Farm Council, K-State Housing and Dining Services, and numerous other partners continues to provide support to our K-State students and their families.
