EHS Online Training System blackout

Submitted by Adam Ukena

The Environmental Health and Safety Online Training system, HSI/VIVID, is in the process of upgrading the current platform to an enhanced version. Some enhancements to the new version include:

  • Interactive dashboards.
  • Ability to upload custom courses at no cost.
  • Assign users to multiple groups.
  • Ability to preview all courses available prior to assigning.
  • Additional customizable reports.

HSI/VIVID will lock out the current site for most of January to begin processing the site upgrade for K-State. Starting Jan. 3, 2022, users and administrators will receive access to a training video with instructions on how to navigate the upgraded site. Live training sessions will also be conducted during the week of Jan. 10. The new system will launch on Jan. 17, 2022. HSI/VIVID will be moving over all the current data and requirements, therefore watching this training video is extremely important. The training will include how to make changes to current training sessions, remove training requirements and add additional training requirements. More information on this is coming soon. Please plan your training requirements accordingly to avoid non-compliance during the time the system is unavailable.

Upgrade timeline:

  • Dec. 27 — HSI will lock out student and admins from the current site while they begin processing the upgrade.
  • Jan. 3, 2022 — recorded admin training session will become available for admins.
  • Jan. 10-14, 2022 — live admin training sessionss will be scheduled.
  • Jan. 17, 2022 — anticipated K-State launch to members.

Very important: Admin reports and all training that is required to be completed in 2021 must be done prior to the Dec. 27 blackout date. There will be no access to take training until after Jan. 17, 2022.
