K-State offers COVID-19 vaccination incentive program for students
Kansas State University students can win prizes — including grand prizes of $1,000 cash, a Sony PlayStation 5 or a MacBook Air — by getting the COVID-19 vaccination.
Vaccination is the best protection against COVID-19. K-State continues to strongly encourage all students, faculty and staff who can receive a COVID-19 vaccine to do so.
Beginning Friday, Aug. 13, K-State will hold weekly prize drawings for vaccinated students. Weekly prize drawings will continue every Friday through Oct. 8. Weekly winners will be notified by K-State email and have seven days to claim the prize.
Any current or incoming student who was vaccinated at Lafene Health Center at any time will automatically be entered for prizes. Students who were vaccinated elsewhere can voluntarily submit a copy of their COVID-19 vaccination cards or other written documentation through the myLAFENE+ patient portal.
Each week the university will draw the names of six students who have been vaccinated and are registered at Lafene Health Center. A list of prizes by level is available on the K-State COVID-19 website.
The grand prize drawing will be Friday, Oct. 15. Every student who has been vaccinated at Lafene Health Center or submitted proof of vaccination will be entered for the grand prize, even if they have won a previous prize.
