Get your COVID-19 vaccine now to be fully vaccinated before the fall semester

There is still time for K-Staters to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before the start of the in-person fall semester on Monday, Aug. 23.
For participants who want to receive a two-dose mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, it can take six weeks after the first dose of the Moderna vaccine to become fully vaccinated and five weeks after the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine to become fully vaccinated. The start of the Kansas State University fall semester is less than six weeks away.
The university continues to strongly encourage all students, faculty and staff who can receive a COVID-19 vaccine to do so before arriving on a K-State campus. Individuals who are not vaccinated are strongly encouraged to continue wearing face coverings.
K-State students, faculty and staff can continue to receive COVID-19 vaccines through Lafene Health Center. Appointments are required and can be made on the myLafene+ patient portal or by calling 785-532-6544.
The Riley County Health Department also offers two-dose COVID-19 vaccinations. Appointments are required and can be scheduled by calling the Riley County Health Department at 785-565-6560.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers an online tool to find a COVID-19 vaccine near you. Find more COVID-19 vaccine information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Your primary care provider also can provide additional information about the COVID-19 vaccine.
K-State students, faculty and staff are encouraged to voluntarily upload their COVID-19 vaccine cards to the myLafene+ patient portal. HealthQuest credits are also available for employees who report COVID-19 immunizations.
