Lafene Health Center offers limited vaccine clinic to faculty, staff and students

Kansas State University’s Lafene Health Center has received a limited number of vaccines for current K-State faculty, staff and students.
Kansas is currently in phase 3 and 4 in the state vaccination plan. All those age 16-64 with medical risks and all critical workers are now prioritized for vaccination, in addition to anyone from phase 1 or 2 who has not yet been vaccinated. All employees at Kansas State University are included in phase 2.
A vaccination clinic will be Thursday, March 25, for individuals receiving their first vaccine dose. The clinic will be at Chester E. Peters Recreation Complex. Appointments are required and should be made on the myLafene+ patient portal. They will be on a first-come, first-served basis. If no appointments are available, the clinic is full for the day.
A booster vaccination clinic also will be Friday, March 26, for individuals who received their first vaccine at the clinic by Lafene Health Center on Feb. 26. If you received your first dose on Feb. 26 from Lafene Health Center, you should have received a COVID-19 vaccination booster reminder in your email.
Parking is available at the northwest end of the Rec Complex parking area: lot C-1, lot C-2 or the east side of Bramlage Coliseum. No parking tickets will be issued at the Rec Complex during the vaccine clinic. Enter the clinic through the north entrance of the Rec Complex. Wear a face covering, maintain physical distancing and follow university health and wellness guidance during the clinic.
The day of the clinic you must bring your driver’s license or your K-State ID card for identification. You will also need to complete the COVID-19 Vaccination Consent Form and the Treatment Agreement/Notice of Privacy Practices. You should also review the Emergency Use Authorization for Moderna and the Notice of Privacy Practices before your appointment. If you have questions regarding the content of the EUA, you will have an opportunity to discuss this with a nurse or health care provider before receiving the vaccination.
If you are symptomatic or have been identified as a close contact and are in quarantine, you are not eligible to receive the vaccine. If you have already received your first dose of vaccine from another facility, you should schedule your second dose with that same provider.
