Are you looking for something rewarding that will set you apart from other students in your field? We have the answer! On-campus students may apply for either of the below opportunities with Powercat Financial.

Powercat Financial Student Advisory Board — student organization membership

Apply for the Student Advisory Board if you are interested in helping guide and promote the development of K-State's financial education center, Powercat Financial. Applications are due Feb. 28 and are available online.

Powercat Financial is looking for a diverse selection of students from every facet of the K-State community to add depth and broader support its overall mission of increasing the financial education and wellness of K-State students. If you want hands-on experience in unique areas such as event planning, marketing, public speaking, advertising, or personal financial education delivery this is the opportunity you've been looking for. The Student Advisory Board will have meetings semi-monthly from August through May and hosts interactive financial events and markets the services of Powercat Financial.

Powercat Financial peer financial counselor — internship opportunity

If you are a student studying in a financial program such as personal financial planning, business, finance, accounting, family and consumer science education, economics, or agricultural business/economics looking for an exciting on-campus internship, then apply online by Feb. 28 to become a peer financial counselor for the 2021-2022 academic year. This is a pre-professional service-learning internship where students provide individual financial counseling and financial presentations to fellow students after extensive training during the fall semester. This position requires approximately 4-8 hours of commitment a week.
