William Earl Harris retiring after 45 years

Submitted by Wynne Reichart

After 45 years of dedicated service, William Earl Harris will retire as hardware analyst for the computer science department on Sept. 4.

Before joining K-State, Harris served in the U.S. Navy. He came to K-State as a student and then started full-time work in 1975. He has helped the computer science department move from Fairchild Hall to Nichols Hall, then Nichols Hall to the current location in the Engineering Complex. He has always been willing to help faculty and staff, even if it were not in his job description. His work has helped shape the department to what it is today.

The Carl R. Ice College of Engineering and computer science department wish Harris and his wife, Marci, all of the best in retirement. Written memories and well wishes can be sent to csadmin@k-state.edu
