SGA searching for elections commissioner

Submitted by Nathan Bothwell

Student Governing Association is currently looking for applicants to serve in the position of this year's elections commissioner.

The SGA elections commissioner oversees the entire process of SGA elections during the spring semester. The elections commissioner works closely with all candidates and must have a keen understanding of SGA elections regulations. Additionally, the commissioner will work closely with the Elections Committee to advertise the upcoming elections and will be a voting member of the Elections Board that will conduct hearings for violators of the SGA elections regulations.

Candidates for the position do not need to have SGA experience but will need to have a strong work ethic, good attention to detail, clear organizational abilities and strong communication skills. The elections commissioner needs to have a relatively flexible schedule in the spring semester to address any election needs as they may arise. Candidates for the position are not allowed to run for any SGA office and or not allowed to support or endorse any candidate in any way.

To access the application for the position, please apply online. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11. All interviews will then be conducted the following day — Saturday, Sept. 12. Any questions about the position can be directed to Student Body President Tel Wittmer at telwittmer@k-state.edu or Speaker of the Student Senate Nathan Bothwell at ndbothwell@k-state.edu
