Doctoral student in nuclear engineering recognized with conference award

Brendan Ward, doctoral candidate in nuclear engineering at Kansas State University, was awarded the Best Video Presentation — North America Award at the American Society of Mechanical Engineers 28th Nuclear Engineering Conference.

Powered by the International Conference on Nuclear Engineering, the global event, hosted virtually Aug. 4-5, was organized by the American Society of Mechanical Engineering for professionals who want to stay current on new technology and industry trends, and developments in nuclear technology.

Ward participated in the student paper competition portion of the conference via video presenting his work in the area of thermal hydraulics under the supervision of Hitesh Bindra, associate professor in the Alan Levin Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering.
