ComPsych's COVID-19 resources and upcoming webinars

Submitted by Human Capital Services - Learning & Development

Human Capital Services highlights resources available through ComPsych, an Employee Assistance Program partner. ComPsych developed a COVID-19 Toolkit to share information and resources to assist employees during this time of uncertainty. Topics included are Coronavirus Webinars — available on demand; Navigating Life at Home, Resiliency; and more.

Additionally, K-State employees are invited to attend two live webinars. Specific detail and registration links are below. Once registration is completed, the information will be sent directly to your email with steps on how to join the event.

Coping with a Traumatic Event will be offered from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, April 28.

Overview: A crisis or traumatic event can be both environmental and personal and are events that can cause physical, emotional, psychological distress or harm. These events are often perceived and experienced as a threat to one's safety or to the stability of one's world and the impact can be either on those who have experienced the event firsthand or have seen it on television.

Living With Change will be offered from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, May 7.

Overview: Whether going back to school or changing careers, starting a family or retiring, change brings both opportunities and turmoil. In today's fast-paced world, change has become a constant. Even when we are able to see the advantages of change, it can be hard to say goodbye to what's changing. This workshop will provide you with techniques to deal effectively with change.

Employees who view the live webinar are eligible for one HealthQuest credit. HealthQuest is the wellness program for the State of Kansas employees and members of the State Employee Health Plan. The Learning and Development Office will work with ComPsych to ensure appropriate credit is given to employees; there is no need for employees to self-report the training attendance as long as sufficient information is provided during registration.
