Kansas Board of Regents meeting university updates

The Kansas Board of Regents meeting on Nov. 20 included items related to Kansas State University. 

Consent agenda 

The Regents appointed Jay Stephens, vice president for Human Capital Services, to the Retirement Plan Committee. Stephens will complete Gary Leitnaker's term, which ends on June 30, 2022. Leitnaker will retire Dec. 31. 

Discussion agenda 

The board received the first reading of fiscal year 2021 housing and food service rates for all state universities. The board will take final action in December and approved rates will go into effect on July 1, 2020. Proposed rate increases for fiscal year 2021 are recommended to cover salaries and benefits, facility maintenance, and planned housing and dining building renovations and repairs. View a PDF of the proposed rates.
