School of Music, Theatre, and Dance to host world-renowned euphonium soloist Demondrae Thurman

The Kansas State University School of Music, Theatre, and Dance will welcome Demondrae Thurman, world-renowned euphonium soloist, to campus this week. He will be in residency from Oct. 23 through Oct. 25, working with students and performing on campus.

Thurman has performed throughout the world as a soloist and has also worked with some of the most prestigious symphonies in the United States, including the New York Philharmonic and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Thurman teaches euphonium and chamber music at the esteemed Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.

Thurman will be a guest soloist with the Kansas State University Wind Ensemble at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23,  in McCain Auditorium. He will give a solo recital accompanied on piano by Amanda Arrington at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at All Faiths Chapel.

All events are free of charge.
