Powercat Financial's inaugural residential financial specialist program

Submitted by Jodi Kaus

Powercat Financial hosted its inaugural group of residential financial specialists for a kickoff event and initial training session on Oct. 10.

The initial group that received training included Caroline Robinson and Baylee Mouw, Ford Hall; Blake Phillips and Kolby Stein, Wefald Hall; Mary LaBelle, Putnam Hall; and Morgan Purdy, Goodnow Hall.

The new student volunteers will work in their living communities to promote Powercat Financial's educational programs and to refer fellow residents to peer financial counseling services. We can't wait to see how these students help their friends and neighbors connect with Powercat Financial.

Do you know a student who would make a good residential financial specialist? We are still looking to recruit RFSs from several on-campus living communities including Jardine, Boyd, Van Zile, Moore, Haymaker, West, Marlatt, Honors House and Smurthwaite.

For more information, students can email Jodi Kaus, director of Powercat Financial, at jkaus@k-state.edu; or Jordan Wolf, Powercat Financial's practicum student, at jwolf518@k-state.edu; or call Powercat Financial at 785-532-2889.
