Provost names search committee for dean of Carl R. Ice College of Engineering

Chuck Taber, provost and executive vice president, has appointed the search committee to lead a national search for the university’s next dean of the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering.

Chairing this committee will be Kevin Gwinner, dean of the College of Business Administration. The university will engage the services of an executive search firm to support the search process. The anticipated start date of the new dean is July 1, 2020.

Members of the search committee:

  • Kevin Gwinner, chair, professor and dean of College of Business Administration.
  • Daniel Andresen, professor of computer science.
  • Jennifer Anthony, associate professor and interim department head of chemical engineering.
  • Amy Betz, associate professor and assistant dean for retention, diversity and inclusion in the College of Engineering.
  • Mariana Cruz, junior in civil engineering.
  • Sunanda Dissanayake, professor and associate dean of Graduate School.
  • Lawryn Edmonds, graduate student in electrical and computer engineering.
  • Chuck Grier, chairman and CEO of UCI Industrial Construction Services.
  • Don Gruenbacher, associate professor and department head of electrical and computer engineering.
  • Gregg Hadley, director of extension in College of Agriculture and K-State Research and Extension.
  • Jessica Heier Stamm, associate professor of industrial and manufacturing systems engineering.
  • Mohammad H. Hosni, professor of mechanical and nuclear engineering.
  • Julia Keen, professor of architectural engineering and construction science.
  • Thomas Lane, vice president for student life and dean of students.
  • John Morris, senior vice president of development at KSU Foundation.
  • Catherine Sandoval, office specialist in mechanical and nuclear engineering.
  • Sabrina Schriner, founder and principal consultant at Business Excellence Consulting Inc.
  • Brad Sidener, senior vice president and COO at K-State Alumni Association.
  • Lisa Wilken, associate professor of biological and agricultural engineering.
