K-State Benefits Fair today

Submitted by Human Capital Services

October is here and open enrollment for health insurance, life insurance and other supplemental benefits has started. The annual benefits fair is a great place to ask questions of your benefit vendors and to learn more about the benefits available to you as a K-State employee.

The 2019 Benefits Fair is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, in the K-State Student Union Ballroom. It will host more than 20 benefit vendors, and Lafene Health Center will offer flu shots again this year. Please bring your insurance card and ID to obtain a flu shot.

The State Employee Health Plan will present on 2020 health insurance at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the K-State Student Union Forum Hall. An online, on-demand presentation also is available on the State Employee Health Plan website.

Wellness chats, mini-sessions focused on highlighting benefits that support your personal well-being, will be in the K-State Student Union Cottonwood Room at the following schedule:

  • 10 a.m.: Building Your Financial Castle
  • 11 a.m.: How to Protect your Loved Ones and Your Paycheck
  • Noon: Top Three Things to Know about Social Security and Retirement
  • 1 p.m.: An Introduction to LearningQuest
  • 2 p.m.: Supporting our Communities Greatest Needs

Human Capital Services and the State Employee Health Plan websites provide detailed information regarding the health insurance plan designs and tools to help you make your insurance election. Ask Alex is also a helpful tool to assist you in making or verifying your decision for 2020.
