SGA committee applications due today

Submitted by Nathan Bothwell

Applications for at-large positions for all Student Governing Association and universitywide committees are due at 5 pm Thursday, Sept. 5. All students on campus are invited to apply for committees they may be interested in. The application is available online

Student Governing Association actively seeks student involvement in many standing committees. These committees include the Governmental Relations Committee; the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee; the Privilege Fee Committee; the Travel Allocations Committee; and the On-Campus Allocations Committee. In addition, pending Student Senate approval, SGA will be creating a Special Committee on Rural Student Success.

Other committees that students can apply for include the Diversity Programming Committee, the Tuition and Fees Strategies Committee, Educational Opportunity Fund Committee, the Student Technology Committee, the Campus Health and Safety Committee, and many others.

Questions about the at-large application can be directed to Hannah Heatherman, speaker of the Student Senate, at hheatherman@k-state.edu, or Jansen Penny, student body president, at jansenpenny@k-state.edu.
