Funding requests for big ideas to enhance diversity at K-State due Sept. 6

Submitted by Nathan Bothwell

Diversity Programming Committee event proposals are due by 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6. Requests will be considered for events occurring between Nov. 1 and Dec. 20. Events that occur before this deadline cannot be funded. Apply online for Diversity Programming Committee funds

Each fiscal quarter, the Diversity Programming Committee solicits proposals for large scale, student-centered, diversity enhancing projects. These funds are used to support projects with educational value that are intended to dissuade prejudice and discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, geographic location or age. Requests for funding must be $3,000 or more. Projects must be free and open to all Kansas State University students.

K-Staters also may apply to serve on the Diversity Programming Committee. Any questions about the Diversity Programming Committee can be directed to Nathan Bothwell, committee chair, at ndbothwell@k-state.edu
