Researchers encouraged to attend March 5 seminar on effective contract research organization relationships

Submitted by Greg Tammen

Faculty and staff who work with industry or have a primarily research-driven focus at Kansas State University are encouraged to attend a free professional development seminar on March 5 that focuses on strengthening partnerships with contract research organizations, or CROs.

"CRO-Sponsor Relationships" is from 1-5 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at Kansas State University's Olathe campus. The seminar also will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.

While the seminar will be led by researchers and business leaders in the region's animal health industry, the concepts discussed are applicable to any sponsor-CRO relationship.

Topics include how to establish a foundation for effective sponsor-contract research organization relationships, best practices for maintaining on-going relationships from a variety of perspectives, what data package quality reveals about partnerships and more.

A speaker panel will further discuss the topics and answer attendee questions.

This seminar is part of a series that provides topical information in animal health regulatory affairs. The seminars are designed to connect the animal health industry with regulatory agency and academic perspectives, with the goal of facilitating a dialog that may help craft solutions and actions that improve aspects of the regulatory process.

More than 350 professionals from animal health companies and affiliated industries across the world have attended previous regulatory affairs seminars. Participant feedback has shown that the information is impactful and making a difference in the industry.

To register for the seminar free of charge, contact Angela Buzard, manager of training and development at the Olathe campus, at abuzard@k-state.edu
