FSHS 300: Working with LGBTQ Individuals and Families

Do you need an elective? Do you want to take a course in just three weeks? Try FSHS 300: Working with LGBTQ Individuals and Families.

The course will explore content related to sexual orientation and gender identity and take a life-span approach to explore the needs of LGBTQ individuals and families at different ages. This course is specifically designed for students in helping professions who will be interacting with LGBTQ individuals and families throughout their career. This includes individuals with goals of working in social work, education, family life education, couple and family therapy, etc.

This class meets in person for three weeks in May and is an easy way to get course credit in a short amount of time. The course number needed to register for this class is 11931.
