CARE office to host Men's Engagement Group

Submitted by Stephanie Foran

Please consider joining the Center for Advocacy, Response, and Education's new Men's Engagement Group. The group aims to teach and promote healthy masculinity, gender socialization, and teaches men how to take an active role in ending sexual violence. The CARE office encourages all interested men and male-identified students to come out and learn how to make K-State and its community safer for everyone.

The group will meet over the course of four weeks in February and March. The first weekly meeting will take place from 7-8 p.m. Feb. 20 in 301 Calvin Hall. The group facilitators are Cliff Rone, Counseling Services, and Kimathi Choma, assistant dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. The Men's Engagement Group is free to all who attend; it is also recommended that interested students attend all four sessions.

All meetings will be from 7-8 p.m. Additional dates are Feb. 27, March 6 and March 13.

If you have any questions, would like additional information, or would like to RSVP to the Men's Engagement Group, please email the CARE office at ksucare@k-state.edu.
