Daytime Drop-ins, Career Closet offered weekly at the Career Center

Submitted by Ashley Bailey

Prioritizing your time for schoolwork and extracurricular activities can be difficult. The Career Center has made finding a job or internship even easier with drop-in times. Students are welcome to stop by from noon to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday with no appointment necessary for career advising.

Drop-in advising sessions are encouraged for students needing:

  • A brief critique of a resume, CV or cover letter.
  • Answers to a career-related question.
  • Help with a specific job application.

Students should come prepared with a printed copy of the document they wish to review or with a main goal in mind for the brief session.

While waiting for an advising session, students can browse the center's closet of free, gently-used professional attire. The Career Closet has inventory to include suits, ties, shirts, skirts and shoes. Students may take up to five items. The Career Closet is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

For more information, visit the Career Center website or stop by the Berney Family Welcome Center.
