Submitted by Communications and Marketing

Twenty-five students are joining the committee in charge of planning Kansas State University's 2012 Homecoming Week. The new members join seven returning members and four appointed members who will organize events for the week, Oct. 21-27, which ends with the football game against Texas Tech on Oct. 27.

The Student Homecoming Committee is responsible for selecting and planning all homecoming events, creating rules and guidelines for the student competitions, promoting the week, and providing staffing for all events.

"The students have already started the planning process for the fall. One event we are looking forward to celebrating is our 10th annual 5K," said Megan Sherlock, associate director of student programs for the K-State Alumni Association and All-University Homecoming chair.
