University Support Staff Senate seeking nominations

Submitted by Emily Johnson

With the spring semester upon us, University Support Staff Senate is accepting nominations through Feb. 20 for elections in March to fill Senate positions opening for the 2017-2020 term. All permanent full-time and part-time university support staff employees of K-State are eligible to be nominated.

Forms have been mailed out to only those colleges and administrative units with open positions. Nominations shall be accepted by signature of the nominee. Eligibility of all nominations returned shall be verified by a combination of the Governmental Affairs Committee and Human Capital Services. Any nomination received after Feb. 20 will be judged late and not considered.

University Support Staff Senate Senate voting will take place electronically March 1-15. The ballot will contain a list of all the candidates and voting is extended to all full-time and part-time university support staff employees from each specific college or administrative unit where a position is to be filled.

Colleges and units that have open positions for Senate representation include the College of Agriculture and Extension, one position; College of Education, one position; Student Life, two positions; Hale Library, one position; and K-State Polytechnic Campus, one position.
