Mortar Board Week starts today

Submitted by Shai Washington

Mortar Board National Senior College Honor Society is an organization of college students dedicated to serving K-State and the Manhattan community. To celebrate our Feb. 15 founding, Mortar Board holds a week of events from Feb. 15-19 to celebrate our three pillars of scholarship, leadership and service.

This year, our events include a trivia night with prizes and free food, study snacks at Hale Library and faculty thank you cards. Throughout the week we will be located in the K-State Student Union, Hale Library and the Staley School of Leadership Studies. On Friday, Feb. 19, we end our celebration with an open talk given by Frank Tracz, director of bands, as part of our Last Lecture Series.

Visit Mortar Board's Facebook page for more details.

Juniors: You may be eligible to apply for Mortar Board. We are holding an information session at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, in Town Hall at the Leadership Studies Building. The application is due at 5 p.m. Feb. 19.
