Karen Large performs jazz-inspired flute recital Sunday

Karen Large, assistant professor of music, will perform a recital of jazz-inspired flute music with Amanda Arrington, piano, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, in All Faiths Chapel Auditorium. This event is free to the public.

The program will include "Sonata for flute and piano" by Nikolai Kapustin, Ukraine; "Jazzbird!" by Gary Schocker, United States; "Coltrane" by David Heath, Great Britain; and "Opus di Jazz" by Mike Mower, Great Britain.

This program was first performed on June 19 at the Canadian Flute Convention in Toronto, Canada.
