JMC students recognized as finalists in South Central Broadcast Society awards

The South Central Broadcast Society has recognized six students from the A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications as finalists in its annual audio and video competition.

The awards ceremony will be at the annual conference Oct. 2-3 in Fort Worth, Texas.

College and university students compete against those from other institutions in the region, which includes Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.

Finalists from K-State are listed below along with the specific category and entry title:

• Morgan Huelsman, Video News Feature Package\u2028, Fort Riley Live Fire.

• Tana Akers, Dakota German and Amy Pond, Video Promotional Video/Music Video\u2028, Chase Fortune — "Capable" \u2028.

• Aaron Finster and Katie Ellingsworth, Video Documentary, 24-Hour Art Slam.

This honor recognizes the time, effort and dedication of these students.
