The K-State president's office and geology department will host Wayne Pennington, Jefferson Science fellow, for the presentation "Nuts and Bolts of Unconventional Oil and Gas Development: What you want to learn about hydraulic fracturing" from 3-4 p.m. April 17 in the K-State Student Union's Little Theatre.

A reception with drinks, cakes and cookies will start at 2:30 p.m. in the same room. This lecture will address current and emerging technology pertaining to nonconventional oil and gas trends.

Jefferson fellows spend a year working with the U.S. State Department or U.S. Agency for International Development, providing current expertise in the science, technology, engineering and medical areas that influence policy decisions.
