Submitted by Christyne Stephenson

Powercat Financial Counseling invites graduate students to a financial workshop, "Negotiating and Understanding Both Salary and Non-Salary Benefits of Your Employment Offer," from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, in Room 207 at the K-State Student Union Room.

Attendees will be entered to win one of five $50 gift cards.

This is a free workshop for graduate students co-presented by K-State's Powercat Financial Counseling and Anthony Fletcher, president and CEO of My Future Consulting Inc. Fletcher will discuss job offer negotiating, followed by Powercat Financial Counseling touching on the different types of non-salary benefits you should understand and consider.

This presentation is part of a three-part financial workshop series; the next presentations:

  • Student Loan Repayment, from 1-2 p.m. Friday, April 3, in 227 Union.

These presentations are brought to you by Powercat Financial Counseling as part of a grant from the Council of Graduate Students with funding by TIAA-CREF designed to enhance financial literacy among graduate students.
